Are SONZ earrings really made in New Zealand?
Yes. Every pair is precision laser-engraved and hand-assembled in our Beachlands studio in Aotearoa New Zealand, from the first engraving to the final hand polish. They are designed here too, led by our designer Sasha, whose Ngātiwai and Ngāpuhi heritage shapes many of the designs. Every purchase supports real New Zealand families who are part of the SONZ team.
What are SONZ earrings made from?
Most designs pair precision laser-engraved cast acrylic with details like pāua shell or pearl accents, kept deliberately lightweight for all-day wear. Each pair arrives in premium gift box packaging. The materials of each design are noted on the product description.
Are SONZ earrings hypoallergenic?
Yes, all of our products are hypoallergenic. Lead, Nickel and Cadmium Free.
How much do SONZ earrings cost?
Our Classic range is $32 a pair and our Signature range is $42 a pair, each arriving in premium gift box packaging. Shipping is free on New Zealand orders over $89.

Are SONZ earrings a good gift?
They are made for it. Each pair arrives in premium gift box packaging, is lightweight enough for all-day wear, and carries a cultural story from Aotearoa or the Pacific, so you are giving meaning as well as a beautiful object.
How long will shipping take?
Most orders ship within 2 to 3 business days. Some pieces are made to order, so please allow up to 5 business days during busy periods. You will receive tracking details as soon as your parcel is on its way.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we can. Please contact us to arrange this.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order is dispatched you will receive a tracking link by email, and you can track it anytime on our order tracking page.
Can I return or exchange my earrings?
For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns or exchanges on earrings unless they are faulty. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right.
How do I start a return?
Email contact@sonzjewellery.co.nz with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will sort it out as quickly as we can.
How do I care for my earrings?
Our acrylic and mirror earrings are designed for everyday wear. Avoid water, perfume, and lotion on the surface, and store them in the gift box they arrive in. See our care instructions page for full details.
What is the Hugo range?
The Hugo range is named in memory of Hugo, the son of friends of SONZ. In honour of Hugo, all profits from the Hugo range go to the Child Cancer Foundation, supporting families facing childhood cancer.
